It can go from zero to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds and has a maximum speed of 139 mph.

Volkswagen Electric Microbus Concept Revealed at Consumer Electronics Show

VolkswagenThe Consumer Electronics Show took place earlier this month from January 6th  to 9th in Las Vegas, Nevada, during which Volkswagen announced its new all-electric Microbus concept, set to go on sale in 2017.

The VW electric Microbus, called BUDD-e, has a potential range of up to 373 miles on one charge and could charge up to 80% in as little as 15 minutes. This range is the best the auto industry has had to offer in EVs so far, even better than Tesla vehicles.

BUDD-e is built on Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Toolkit, which is a method of building electric cars that keeps the motors and battery as close to the very front and back of the car as possible, leaving more space for passengers and cargo inside the car.

The design of the Microbus is just as interesting as the inside parts, with a snappy design reminiscent of the classic Volkswagen bus and a futuristic interior with integrated infotainment systems.
